Bears can be made with just about any thread. Some are harder to work with than others. The most commonly used yarns are Red Heart Classic, Caron Simply Soft, Caron Perfect Match, Caron Jewel Box Chenille, Lion Brand Chenille, Size 3 and 10 Crochet Cotton. For color cards, visit www.herrschners.com . They vary in size from 7 ½ inches down to 3 ½ inches.

I do purchase specialty threads from time to time and offer these bears as 'one of a kind' (OOAK) as described. Bears or any other animal can be made to complement baby blankets. Sizes vary with the thread/hook used. Each one is embroidered with a face and beads are used for eyes making each one unique. These are NOT dog toys!!

JEWEL BOX BEARS
These bears are made from Caron's Jewel Box Series of yarn. They stand approx 7 ½ inches. The thread is more expensive than the standard bears, hence the higher the price. MINIATURE BEARS
Made from Cotton threads size 3 or 10. All miniatures regardless of what medium you choose to work in are harder to do. Thus they do not go down in price! Various colors are available. Size 3 Bears stand in at 3 ¾ inches! Size 10 bears stand in at 3 ½ inches. ($20)

EMBELLISHMENTS

There are embellishments available to all bears - Roses, beaded necklaces, hats, bibs, ties, vests, feathers, charms, ribbons, buttons, angel wings, etc.
NOTE ABOUT MOVING PARTS

The bear's arms and legs are attached in a way as to promote posing. They are not made with hard parts. Therefore there is a limit to the number of turns you can make with the arms and legs. They should not be twisted round and round and round as this will cause stress to the yarn and cause it to break. They can be repaired if mailed back, or I can send yarn and directions for you to make the repair yourself.
